A singer songwriter with Gold and Platinum credits, Lindsay
graduated from Queen’s University Film School and went on to begin his career at RCA Records in the Film/TV licensing division in Los Angeles.  His passions for film and music along with Artist-development led him to the launch of the Squint Entertainment record label.  His label has spearheaded radio promotion, production, plus film and TV licensing.

After breaking the careers of recording artists Sixpence None The Richer with their smash singles “Kiss Me” and “There She Goes”, and metal trio Chevelle, Lindsay was recruited as the SVP and Executive in Charge Of Music for Walden Media and Bristol Bay Productions under The Anschutz Film Group.  Overseeing multi million dollar music budgets, he is the Music Supervisor/Soundtrack Producer for such notable films as Holes, The Chronicles of Narnia (The Lion, Witch and The Wardrobe/Prince Caspian), Bridge To Terabithia (Disney), Journey To The Center Of The Earth, City Of Ember (New Line/WB), Amazing Grace, I Am David, RAY(Universal), Nim’s Island (FOX), Bandslam, Sahara, Charlotte’s Web (Paramount), Stomp (A Pulse Odyssey) IMAX, Ghost Of The Abyss (Titanic) IMAX, and many more.  His music consultant company TheEngine360 supervised the Academy Award winning film, The Imitation Game, and The Great Gilly Hopkins, Nina, Marvel Comic’s (Thor/Captain America).  The company has also expanded into branding initiatives with Lexus, HGTV, Cover Girl, CBS, The Country Music Association, Sorted Noise, and Pop2Life Marketing.

Lindsay is an adjunct professor for Belmont University in Nashville teaching Music Supervision.  He also specializes in working closely with directors, composers, artists, songwriters, and producers from development to delivery, ensuring that their musical visions are executed be it orchestral score, source music, or original recordings.

Music Law Session with Byron Pascoe

 

 

Currently an entertainment lawyer, Byron began his professional career managing a TV and new media production company that produced comedy programming for CBC, MuchMusic, G4TV, and created some of the earliest online prank comedy programming.

During Law School, he co-founded the Charter Project, a national education initiative about the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms.

At Edward's Professional Corporation, Creative Law (www.edwardslaw.ca), Byron provides legal services to professionals in Music, Film, TV, New Media among other creative clients.

Byron works with musicians and music companies to assist with record label agreements, publishing contracts, distribution deals, producer agreements, and band agreements.  He lives in Ottawa, and works with musicians across Ontario.
